    Director independiente y profesor de cine documental en Chile. En conjunto con Håkan Engström, han realizado una veintena de documentales radiofónicos para Radio Nacional de Suecia, Engström en la producción y Spoerer como director. En 1999 Spoerer recibe el Premio Nacional de Periodismo de Suecia, por una serie de documentales sobre Chile y, obtiene el segundo lugar del Prix Europa de documentales en Berlín. Su film La sombra de Don Roberto, fue galardonado con el primer lugar del Festival Internacional de Cine de Valparaíso 2007, en la Categoría Documental, además de los premios al Mejor Montaje y Mejor Sonido.


    Juan Diego Spoerer is a Chilean independent filmmaker and documentary film teacher. Together with Håkan Engström, he has directed about twenty radio documentaries for the National Radio of Sweden, with Engström as producer and Spoerer as director. In 1999 Spoerer received the National Prize of Journalism of Sweden for a documentary series on Chile and also got the second award of the Europe Prix of documentary in Berlin. His film La sombra de Don Roberto, won the first award of the Valparaíso International Film Festival (Festival Internacional de Cine de Valparaíso) in the Documentary Category in addition to awards for Best Editing and Best Sound in 2007.
