Sinopsis: Las experiencias de un grupo de cubanos que salió de Cuba en 1980 por el puerto del Mariel. Entrevistas realizadas dos años más tarde en Estados Unidos, país donde residen.

A revealing film about those Cubans who chose to leave the island in 1980 from the port of Mariel. After two years of living in the United States, they tell of their experiences, including their former expectations and the reality they found. Besides anecdotes, both true and factitious human values are dramatically exposed. This film forms part of a trilogy devoted to the waves of Cuban emigration in different periods of the Revolution.
