  • Sofía y el terco

    Sinopsis: La pareja habita en una casa pequeña situada en medio de la Sabana. El hermoso paisaje, frío y neblinoso, anuncia a la vez algo de lo que sucede con esta pareja en una relación en la que el tiempo ha hecho su tarea de desgaste. La repetición de las acciones cotidianas de la vida doméstica, da cuenta de un matrimonio carcomido por la rutina y al que no le quedan ilusiones. O mejor, queda una ilusión: el viaje a la Costa largamente prometido por el hombre y muchas veces pospuesto. Los amigos del marido convierten el anuncio del paseo en un motivo de burla, y cada vez que se aplaza se repite la mofa. Sofía termina por fraguar su propio plan para irse con su mejor amiga y realizar su sueño de conocer el mar. Solo que la vida y el azar disponen otra cosa y atraviesan un obstáculo en ese propósito, por lo que Sofía tendrá que escaparse sola a enfrentar la aventura. Sin Sofía, incapaz de resolver las tareas cotidianas que ella realizaba, llega el desacomodo a la vida del marido.

    Sofía and her husband live in a small house on the savannah. Striking as it is to the eye, this cold, misty land reflects the state of their marriage, gnawed away by routine. Sofía has only one thing left to look forward to ? the trip to the coast her husband has promised her, but that he constantly puts off. The subject has even become a standing joke among their friends. In the end, Sofía decides to go with her best friend, but when that plan falls through, she goes it alone. Left to his own devices, her husband is overwhelmed by the household chores, while Sofía, too, experiences some eye-openers on her journey. She finally realizes her dream of seeing the ocean, but no sooner has she returned than routine rears its monotonous head, except that now she has nothing to look forward to. This is when the camera backs off and the sound fades, leaving us with the impression that neither party in this eventless marriage will have the strength to leave.
