Como produtor executivo en Orfeu (1999), de Carlos Diegues; y como coprodutor en Carandiru (2003), de Hector Babenco.
Hijo del productor y director Flávio Tambellini, comenzó trabajando como asistente de dirección en Gabriela (1983), de Bruno Barreto, y en O beijo da mulher-aranha (1985), de Hector Babenco, y en producciones extranjeras, como Feitiço do Rio (1984), de Stanley Donen, A floresta das esmeraldas (1985), de John Boorman, y en Luar sobre Parador (1988), de Paul Mazursky. Fue director de producción de Eu sei que vou te amar (1986), de Arnaldo Jabor.

En 2001 produjo el documental Janela da alma, de João Jardim y Walter Carvalho. Ese año produjo además los largos O homem do ano (2003), de José Henrique Fonseca, y O diabo a quatro (2004), de Alice de Andrade, y fue coproductor de Cazuza. o tempo não pára, de Sandra Werneck y Walter Carvalho. En 2005, produjo Pro dia nascer feliz, documental de João Jardim, e inició la producción de Os desafinados, de Walter Lima Jr., filme de ficción sobre la bossa nova; Mutum, de Sandra Kogut, basado en el libro Manuelzão e Miguilim, de Guimarães Rosa; y Trilogia da Barra, de Isabel Jaguaribe.
