    Tin Didarmal es el seudónimo que utiliza para firmar su obra. Estudió Ingeniería Industrial. Sin estudios formales a los 22 años realizó su primer largometraje titulado De nadie acerca de migración centroamericana de indocumentados. Recibió el Premio del Público en el Festival de Sundance en el 2006 y un Ariel de Plata otorgado por la Academia Mexicana de Cinematografía el mismo año.

    Tin Didarmal is the pseudonym this self-taught filmmaker goes by. At the tender age of 22, his first feature, De nadie, a documentary about the injustices suffered by illegal Central American immigrants crossing Mexico on their way to the United States, won the Audience Award at the 2006 Sundance Festival and a Silver Ariel from the Mexican Film Academy that same year.
