  • Ignacio Steinberg
    (Argentina, 1947)



    Nacho Steinberg nació en Buenos Aires en 1947, cursó en la Universidad de Buenos Aires las Carreras de Abogacía y Sociología al mismo tiempo que comenzaba su formación artística. Paralelamente cursó estudios de hebreo Historia y Biblia en Jerusalén durante un año para graduarse como Profesor en esas materias. Su vocación teatral le permitió realizar su primer trabajo como actor Profesional en el mítico Instituto Di Tella en el año 1969. A partir de ese momento intensificó su formación con importantes Docentes del Teatro Argentino como David Amitin y Juan Carlos Gené. Se especializa en Dirección Teatral, llegando a ser el Director del Teatro Popular Judío (AMIA) y a realizar puestas en Caracas, Broadway y Nueva York. Tiene participaciones en telenovelas en los canales 7 y 13 de Buenos Aires y realiza como actor y Productor ejecutivo el film La Cruz Invertida basada en la obra literaria de Marcos Aguinis (PREMIO PLANETA 1970, ESPAÑA). Antes de codirigir con Esteban Jasper El triángulo rosa y la cura nazi para la homosexualidad participó como actor en el filme El Amigo Alemán de Jeaninne Merapfel.


    Nacho Steinberg was born in Buenos Aires. He graduated from University of Buenos Aires and studied Law and Sociology majors. At this time, he started his artistic career. While undergoing his college education he also studied Hebrew and Bible studies in Jerusalem for a year, for which he graduated with a degree in education. His theatrical avocation allowed him to dart his first work as a professional actor in the Di Tella Insititute in 1969. From that moment on, he continued to study with high profile Theatre teachers, such as David Amitin and Juan Carlos Gene. Later on he specialized his work in Theatrical Direction. He became Director of the Popular Jewish Theatre of the Argentinian Jewish Comunity Organization, setting up stage in Caracas Venezuela, and Boradway New York. He participated in daytime soap operas on channels 7 and 13 in Buenos Aires and was the executive producer of the film “Inverted Cross” based on the Marcos Aguinis novel (Planeta Prize, 1970, Madrid, Spain). Before directing “The Pink Triangle and the Nazi Cure for Homosexuality” he participated as an actor in the “El Amigo Alemán” film by Jeaninne Merapfel.
