  • Nelson Scartaccini
    (Uruguay, 1957)



    Nelson Scartaccini nació en Montevideo, marzo del 57, ítalo-uruguayo. Egresado del IDHEC, París (actual FEMIS).

    Gana el Fondo de Ayuda a la escritura del Centro Nacional de Cinematografía de Francia con “Aller Simple”, un largometraje documental que codirige con Noël Burch y Nadine Fischer, producido por A.R.T.E. y Channel 4 de Londres en 1988, y con “Scènes de vie a Cuba” en 1994.

    Profesor itinerante de la EICTV de Cuba desde su fundación, dictó cursos y conferencias para Casa de las Américas y la UNEAC de Cuba, Conservatorio Libre de Cine Francés de París, CIESPAL, UNESCO y FACSO de Ecuador.

    Realizador de documentales y consultor en guión y edición. Termina de filmar un documental en corealización con Paul Venegas sobre la vida de Alberto Spencer y coescribe “Latente”, guión de  largometraje de ficción de Esteban Schroëder que ya obtuvo la Ayuda al Desarrollo de Ibermedia y el Fondo de Escritura del ICAU (Instituto del Cine y audiovisual del Uruguay).


    Nelson Scartaccini - UruguayAn Italian-Uruguayan, Nelson Scartaccini was born in Montevideo in March of 1957. He graduated from the IDHEC, Paris (now FEMIS), and has won the writing Aid Fund from France's Nacional Cinema Centre twice, in 1988 with "Aller Simple", a documentary film that he co-directed with Noël Burch and Nadine Fischer, produced by A.R.T.E. and London's Channel 4, and with "Scènes de vie a Cuba" in 1994.Travelling professor at the EICTV of Cuba since its inception, he has taught courses and delivered conferences for Casa de las Américas and the UNEAC of Cuba, the Free Conservatory of French Cinema of Paris, CIESPAL, UNESCO and FACSO of Ecuador.He is a documentary filmmaker and a screenplay and montage consultant. He produced a documentary with Paul Venegas about the life of Alberto Spencer and is co-writing with Esteban Schroëder «Latente», a fiction screenplay which has received grants from Ibermedia's Development Financial Aid and the Screenplay Fund of the Film and Audiovisual Institute of Uruguay (Instituto del Cine y Audiovisual del Uruguay, ICAU).
