    The author of books like “Santa Evita“ (1996) and “The Tango Singer“ (2004), the Argentine writer and journalist Tomás Eloy Martinez held a mythical interview with former president Juan Domingo Perón 45 years ago. After the author‘s death in 2010, his son Blas Martinez managed to recover the interview recordings. He then began to take a dip not only into the history of his country and in the conflicting views on Peronism but also into his own personal experience in search of explanations about the emotional estrangement from his father due to the period he had spent in exile and to surprising revelations discovered in the recovered tapes.
