    Boris Quercia estudió actuación teatral en la Universidad de Chile, etapa durante la cual formó el grupo Teatro Provisorio, que más tarde, junto a Andrés Pérez, da origen al Gran Circo Teatro, responsable de la creación de La negra Ester.

    Más tarde se integró a la compañía Teatro Sombrero dirigida por Willy Semler. Paralelamente al trabajo en las tablas, siempre actuó en cine y televisión. Su carrera como cineasta comenzó cuando realizó los cortometrajes Ñoquis y El Lanza. Luego vino su primer largometraje L.S.D (2000), y obtuvo un gran éxito con su segundo largo Sexo con amor (2003), la película más vista en la historia del cine chileno. Su última cinta fue El rey de los huevones (2006).





    Boris Quercia is a self-taught Chilean filmmaker, partly thanks to his work on the theater. He studied acting drama at the Chile University (Universidad de Chile), a period during which he created the theater company Teatro Provisorio, which later, together with Andrés Pérez, led to the creation of Gran Circo Teatro company, responsible for the creation of La negra Ester. Later he joined the theater company Teatro Sombrero directed by Willand Semler. Together with his work on the stage he always has acted in film and television. His film career began with his short films Ñoquis and El Lanza. Then came his first feature film L.S.D. and had a tremendous success with his second feature film Sexo con amor, the most successful movie of the history of Chilean cinema. One of his most recent feature film is El rey de los huevones.
