  • Martín Boulocq
    (Bolivia, 1980)



    Fotógrafo y artista plástico, nacido en Cochabamba, Bolivia, en 1980. Estudia cine en la Escuela Andina, donde fue alumno de Jorge Goldenberg. Dirigió el diario alternativo Crepúsculo y se inició en cine junto con sus compañeros de estudios, nucleados en el colectivo Jóvenes Elegantes. Así, durante 2001 fue escenógrafo de Siempre hoy día, de Alba Balderrama; productor de Cierre de emisión, de Javier Rivero; y director y guionista de El refugio, todos cortometrajes. También ha realizado videos musicales y el corto Don't Want to Cry (2002).


    Martín Boulocq (1980-) was born in Cochabamba, Bolivia. He is a photographer, plastic arts artist and filmmaker. He took film studies at the Andean School where he was a student of Jorge Goldenberg. He directed the alternative paper Crepúsculo (Twightlight) and began his career as a filmmaker together with his classmates who were members of the group Jóvenes Elegantes (Elegant Young Men). By 2001, he was the set designer of Siempre hoy día, and Alba Balderrama; producer of Cierre de emisión, made by Javier Rivero; and director and screenwriter of El refugio, all of them short films. He has also made music videos and the short film Don't Want to Cry (2002).
