    Comenzó a los 13 años en un curso de dibujo animado en el MIS-Museo de la Imagen y del Sonido, y desde ese momento se vinculó al mundo de la animación. Se formó en Comunicación Social en 1992 e inmediatamente  realizó los cortos Sírius, premiado por un jurado internacional de niños en el Uruguay, y por el BICE- buró internacional católico, conectado a la UNICEF, y Espantalho, obra que obtuvo una docena de premios, entre ellos el de mejor animación nacional del AnimaMundi 1998. Ha realizado ilustraciones para revistas y libros.

    Alê Abreu began his career since the age of 13, in a drawing course in animation of the MIS-Museum of the Image and Sound, and from this moment on he was trapped by the animation world. He studied Social Communication in 1992 and soon directed the short films Sírius, awarded by an international jury of children in Uruguay, and by the International Catholic Bureua, related with the UNICEF. Another of his short film was Espantalho, which received, among other 11 awards, the prize to the Best National Animation in AnimaMundi 98. He has also made illustrations for books and magazines.
