Kathleen Tyner, Estados Unidos de América
is Associate Professor in the Department of Radio-Television-Film and teaches courses in new media literacy, children and media, video games, virtual worlds, and research methods. She is a researcher with significant experience in the research, evaluation and development of new media, media arts, youth media and STEM projects and programs. Professor Tyner's portfolio of new media initiatives include collaborative projects with Internews Interactive (CA), the Miami Museum of Science (FL); Bay Area Video Coalition (San Francisco), ListenUp! (New York), LinkTV (CA), the National Alliance for Media Arts and Culture (CA); and the City of Portland Telecommunications Policy Board (OR). Her international work includes projects and speaking engagements with Universidad Nacionales Educaciones Distancia (Madrid), Universidad de Vallodolid (Segovia), The United Nation's Alliance of Civilizations-Media Literacy Clearinghouse, Universidade do Lisboa (Portugal), Universidade do Sao Paolo (Brazil), British Film Institute (London), the Economic and Social Research Council (UK), and the Australian Teachers of Media (Brisbane).
