Resumen: Following the pioneering work of Michael Snow,Joyce Wieland, and others in the early 1960s, a second generation of film artists emerged in Canada in the late 1960s. Vancouver formed one of the crucial centres with such artists as Gerry Gilbert, Al Razutis, Sam Perry, and Keith Rodan. The work of David Rimmer, however, has perhaps played the biggest role in defining Canadian film and video art in this period.
